Shiny happy person

Happiest when rooting through my handbag...

When shall we three meet again?

In thunder, lighting or in rain?

Second Witch mishears First Witch and waits forlornly on a light-fitting.
This was the clothes-peg witch made by the Boy at a craft event at the museum (with some help from Nina the facilitator) - good, innit?

I don't care, it's STILL autumn

I refuse to accept it's winter yet.

I took this in the hospital carpark (through my windscreen, so may be a bit blurry/have reflections). Love the colours.

Mum, Dad, Hopalong - injection was fine (well, very painful actually but didn't take long Foot's still sore but that may be bruising I suppose)

I got sunshine

On the way home from school we stopped at the swings.

The dashing white Sergeant

A cheaty pic as it's one Colin took yesterday evening. It's of me laughing at John Sergeant on Strictly Come Dancing last night - in a nice way! He was so obviously having fun :-). Anyway, it's not the most flattering picture of me but it's natural.

And now today's..

The weather was wild at the farm today, but there were occasional glimpses of sunshine, like this fleeting patch up the hill.

'Hat's Scarf'

Miss M has taken to referring to her brother as 'Hat'. No idea why..
The weather has been too wet, windy and wild for any outdoor pictures (or outdoor activities for that matter), so a picture of Scarf Number Three, as commissioned by the Boy.

Michelangelo in action

The only downside to the Scribbler is it's not permanent. Though it's probably saved a few forests given how much drawing he does..

The Mouse's Scarf

Just look at that innocent little face - aye, right. Just taking a few seconds out from the Terrible Twos. I'm not actually sure what day this was as my camera has seen fit to reset its calendar to January 2004.

Tuesday, 21 October 2008

Ooooh, blue sky!

Now gone AWOL..

Monday, 20 October 2008

Pumpkin colours

I finished my scarf - somebody pointed out it's in seasonally appropriate pumpkin colours. (The yarn colour is 'Saffron', but Pumpkin would be as good!)

Supporting LEAF

Visual pun :-). LEAF being this.

Wet and windy day at the farm.

And one for Dad:

Catching-up again

It's the 25th today and I have some catching up to do. This is Miss M finishing off her birthday cake - which was, though I say so myself, deeeeelicious.
(She refers to it as 'my happy cake')

14th of October: Battle of Hastings

Oh yeah and M's second birthday!

'And a good time was had by all..'

Monday, 13 October 2008

Let us eat cake

The Boy insisted we make a cake for M's birthday - this is it just coming out the oven. We'll ice it tomorrow and decorate it unsubtly with chocolate buttons and pink sprinkles!

If there were shopping malls on the Enterprise..

..they'd look something like this I'm sure.

I was down at the centre this morning and suddenly noticed this rather swooshily-shaped bit of ceiling. It's a bit sad to think that somebody put some effort into designing the place but hardly anybody ever notices. The only reason I noticed today was that the shops don't open 'til 11am on a Sunday and I was down there at about ten to, so was just sitting on a bench waiting and chilling out.

More works of art

Rabbit and rabbit.

And a picture of Cara, obviously (sorry Jo, it's name of my mother-in-law's partner's dog!). She doesn't really have two tails, apparently she's wagging her tail!
I've been feeling a bit rough for the last few days hence only photographing the Boy's pictures.. But it's also because he's been particularly prolific the last few days!

Miss Hooley hair

Not the best photograph but my hair went all Miss Hooley-ish (quite naturally) and I had to try to get a picture.

Fresh from the bath.

Another of the Boy's works of art

Abundant detail of course :-D.

Uncle Hopalong's birthday

A frustrating day in photographic terms as, despite taking squillions of photos, there were few to choose from - they're all either too bright and glarey (with the flash) or too fuzzy (without the flash). Above is a nice one apart from the blur of the Boy walking in front of the camera in the foreground.

And this one makes me laugh:

So earnest! Uncle Hopalong was helping the boy with his homework when they broke off to have a discussion about a photograph on the wall.

Moonrise in Teletubbyland

This was the view from the Boy's window last night (this is the 6th Oct. really; ssh don't tell my blog!) - a bit fuzzy but quite pretty! That's a windfarm on the hill.

It's not easy being green.

Today our tv gave up the ghost. C had been wanting a fancy telly for ages but couldn't justify it really - so he did have a look of suppressed delight when I told him the telly wasn't working properly and that Chris and Pui* had turned green. A quick google confirmed it probably wasn't worth getting repaired. Fortunately he had been saving his pennies for just such an occasion!
I was out at a friend's beauty night tonight (had a facial, it was brilliant), so C had the evening to play with the new telly. And watch Sharpe.

Excuse the toy mountain in the foreground - usually they're more thinly scattered..
*For Mum, Dad and Hopalong - Chris and Pui are CBeebies presenters. Not usually green. It was like being in the Emerald City.

Don't be fooled

Blue skies, sunshine.. pah! It was baltic!

Thursday, 2 October 2008

It didn't come to anything, but the sky managed to look pretty sinister for a bit!

all fun and games

Went to an 'author event' at the local bookshop this evening. Haven't laughed so hard for weeks :-D.
