Not very sure

The Boy was already asleep when I took this and I wasn't around when he drew it, so I'm not certain what it is (might be a 'plane or might be the space shuttle) but it appeals to me!

In which I cheat again

As this picture was taken on Friday.


The council had been out cutting the grass again*. As the soil is squelchy squerchy clay with poor drainage the ground is often (almost always in fact, given the climate) very soft. Which leads me to wonder - which is more unsightly, long grass or the weird patterns churned up by the mowers?


* for those who don't know, I live in a New Town, not unlike Milton Keynes in its love of roundabouts and odd sculpture, but predating MK. So an old New Town really! The point, eventually, being that there are fairly large open green spaces for the public to 'enjoy' and the council to keep in order..

In Fuzzy-Re-enactor-O-Vision

Which is what we call it when re-enactors are used as a bit of footage in a documentary about a battle. And the producers get fuzzy effects put on the footage, partly to cover up that they're using seven blokes and a 'boy' (who's just a little too busty to be entirely convincing) to portray the Battle of Hastings.

Anyway.. this was this morning's 'school run'. More of a school saunter really - pleasant morning.

Uncle Hopalong's Diner

Naturally the kitchen floor is the perfect place for an impromptu picnic of chocolate digestives and water!

Ah to hell with it, I'm going to put another picture in - it was such a glorious morning (most of the day in fact) that I feel I have to have photographic evidence of it!
