I threw a snowball - no, not at the cat, for the cat. He pounced! He discovered snowflakes! Later he caught a robin..
The kidlets toddling off sledging with their new sledges! Much excitement! For about five minutes - upon which they realised that you get cold and wet sledging. No amount of explaining that that's part of the fun could convince them.
However the locale was managing to look quite scenic.
I've been winding my hand-dyed wools into balls. Top left is red onion skins, top right is alder cones, bottom left is red cabbage with a soda crystal afterdip (and the result is light green though it looks like light blue in this picture) and bottom right is brown onion skins.
And some flowerts to cheer me up (the sunshine helped to!) - it's been very grey this week.
Here are the results of the Swedish jury. No hang on, that's not right. Actually the results of the onion-skin dyeing - left, brown onions, right red onions.
I'm not entirely sure this picture is the right way up. Anyway. It was a bright sunny day so I walked up to the school to get the Boy and took a few pics on the way.
I was out in search of COLOUR today, but I'm as pleased with this picture as with the colourful ones. It appears almost frosty though it wasn't at all cold in reality!
Once upon a time my friend Bee told me about 'project 365' in which you take a photo a day for a year. I wasn't that disciplined about it and it took me one year and 3 months to reach Day 365, but it quickly became a habit of sorts and also a record of my year. So I've overrun but I continue with it anyway!
