My Rainbow Baktus - it's quite small but blocking has stretched it nicely and it's just big enough to warm my neck. The yarn is Purplejen-dyed. And it's so cheerful!
I knitted this while re-watching Long Way Round so I associate it with all sorts of odd things -motorbikes, fording rivers, the steppes.
Sorry for the tedious repetition of cute kitten pictures, but I only took a couple of pics today so it was this or my knitting - which makes me sadder?
Argh! I've got a month of photos to upload! But I'll start with these two charming new additions to the family - Hester and Toby. MrBorg has been resisting their advances and referring to them as 'your cats' but as I type Hester is curled up on his lap fast asleep.
Okay, more calculations reveal this momentous occasion to be Day 365!
Miss Mouse was as good as gold, astonishingly co-operative, at the hairdressers and was rewarded by Natalie the lovely hairdresser with two 'spikspiks' (biscuits) this time.
Natalie seems to have a real knack for getting kids to co-operate :-).
We visited my friend Purplejen to meet the kittens. She's got the most amazing globe that belonged to her German grandmother (I think?). I love maps and globes, old ones even more so, and old foreign ones are just brilliant, so this was a fascinating thing to see.
Once upon a time my friend Bee told me about 'project 365' in which you take a photo a day for a year. I wasn't that disciplined about it and it took me one year and 3 months to reach Day 365, but it quickly became a habit of sorts and also a record of my year. So I've overrun but I continue with it anyway!
